Squid with Ginger, Garlic, and Cilantro

Tasty squid recipe and ready in less than 10 minutes. The ingredients need to be prepped and ready to toss into the pan nearby, as squid only takes a couple minutes to cook through, otherwise it will become too tough and chewy. Let’s get started.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of sesame oil

1 inch fresh ginger, minced

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 chili pepper, finely chopped

2 pounds of squid, cleaned and chop into rings leaving tentacles uncut

1/2 cup of rice wine

1/2 cup of light soy sauce

2 teaspoon of sugar

2 cups of cilantro

Heat oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Add ginger, garlic and chilies and stir until fragrant about 30 seconds.

Add squid and cook, stirring frequently for about 1 minute. Pour in rice wine, soy sauce, and sugar and stir until it boils about another minute. Remove from heat and stir in cilantro. Serve immediately.
